YouTurn Futures has been recognised by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Service for its significant contribution in ensuring Bedfordshire Police are the first police force to achieve an outstanding grade for the way it manages offenders and suspects.

An HMICFRS inspection report on Bedfordshire Police acknowledged the ‘highly effective integrated offender management approach’ (IOM) and how Bedfordshire Police ‘works closely with You Turn Futures, a charity responsible for managing Bedfordshire’s multi-agency IOM programme.’

Police and Crime Commissioner Festus Akinbusoye said “I am thrilled that we have been rated as ‘Outstanding’ for the way in which we manage offenders.  It also shows a 91% reduction in burglars re-offending.’

This is achieved through the excellent work delivered by police and probation offender managers and front line professionals.

IOM is supported by our ‘Direction For Bedfordshire service’ working with over 200 agencies providing a free and confidential service to professionals, vulnerable and marginalised people; including individuals with offending histories and those around them delivers joined up services to help keep Bedfordshire safe.”
