Making a real difference: our year in numbers
This year, we supported 263 individuals on their journey toward positive change. The results speak for themselves: 82% of service users improved in three or more key life areas, with each person making progress in an average of 4.2 outcome areas. Most significantly, Education & Work emerged as the area where individuals achieved the greatest transformation.
Breaking the cycle: crime reduction that works
Our evidence-based approach to crime reduction delivers exceptional results. Through our Safer Streets programme, we achieved a remarkable 73% reduction in harm, saving society an estimated £6.5 million. Meanwhile, our Central Bedfordshire Supported Pathway maintained a 100% crime-free rate for participants at case closure, with an 86% reduction in offending overall.
These aren’t just statistics—they represent real people who have turned their lives around, families reunited, and communities made safer.
Supporting young people to thrive
Our Schools Navigator programme demonstrates the power of early intervention. 67% of young people we supported stayed in school, while 100% showed improvement across multiple life areas. When young people feel supported and valued, they make different choices—choices that shape not just their futures, but the future of our communities.
Through our Hertfordshire Supported Pathway, 55% of young people successfully completed the programme, with 100% agreeing that YouTurn helped them turn toward a more positive life. These young people, once at risk of exploitation and serious violence, are now building hopeful futures.
Employment: opening doors to independence
Work provides more than income—it offers dignity, purpose, and hope. Our employment support services worked with 117 individuals this year, conducting 168 assessments to understand each person’s unique barriers and strengths. By addressing the complex challenges that prevent people from accessing employment, we help individuals rebuild their confidence and re-enter the workforce with purpose.
Mental health: the foundation for change
We understand that lasting change requires addressing the whole person. 73% of those who received mental health support from YouTurn reported feeling better equipped to handle day-to-day life. Using clinically validated tools and trauma-informed approaches, our wellbeing practitioners provide the foundation individuals need to engage with other support services and make sustainable positive changes.

Phoebe's story: from distrust to hope
After growing up in care and facing exploitation and homelessness, Phoebe had lost faith in professionals and support systems. Through patient, trauma-informed intervention, we slowly built trust with Phoebe, helping her navigate a recent crisis, access therapeutic support, and achieve practical milestones like obtaining important documents.
While her journey continues, Phoebe’s story demonstrates how understanding, empathy and time can help someone move from survival mode towards a brighter future.
